Category Definitions

Creative & Cultural Industries

Establishments that create, produce, provide, and/or distribute cultural services or goods.

Festivals & Events

Annual activities, festivals, events, or educational programs hosted within the community.

Cultural & Natural Heritage

Buildings, sites and artefacts of cultural or natural significance; also includes organizations, and activities that foster the awareness and stewardship of heritage.

Intangibles & Stories

Non-physical aspects of culture, such as stories and history.

Cultural spaces, facilities and institutions

Physical gathering spaces (indoor & outdoor) and public bodies that operate accessible facilities and services for the community and/or host arts or heritage related experiences.

INDIGENOUS

Heritage sites, places, stories, customs, and symbols that represent the culture and traditions of local Indigenous groups.

Public art

Original work installed in a public place that reflects the culture, heritage or natural environment of a site or area.

Service and cultural organizations

Organizations that support local culture through community participation, personal growth opportunities, and the representation of arts, heritage, and cultural interests.
